Beach Bums: The 5 Best Beaches in the Caribbean
May 6, 2013 | RogerFun in the sun and sea is something that we love here at the office. We dream about getting away on a daily basis… after all, selling vacations all day can do that to a guy. With the weather finally turning warmer, our mind has turned to the beach – and specifically finding the best beaches for a Caribbean vacation. We’ve found five beaches that we think are just outstanding and help make the perfect Caribbean getaway.
Reaching for the Sky aboard Quantum of the Seas.
May 3, 2013 | RogerCruise lines seem to be in a continual game of one-upmanship. Royal Caribbean built an ice-skating rink aboard their vessels, Norwegian Cruise Line countered with a bar made entirely of ice. Carnival added a ropes course, and then Princess built a ship that has a glass-floored walkway that juts out over the ocean. With the latest announcements regarding the Quantum of the Seas, Royal Caribbean is upping the bar yet again.
Greece: As We See It
April 17, 2013 | RogerWe’ve been featuring the travel snapshots of the agents who work in our office. After all, we can talk about a destination til we’re blue in the face, but sometimes its just easier to share what we’ve experienced in pictures. Our travel consultant, Veronica, just got back stateside after an extended stay in Greece, and she fell in love with the country – and after seeing her pictures, its not hard to see why.
The Rhine: As We See It
March 26, 2013 | RogerHere are some more snapshots from our staff’s travel history. This history is recent. Last week, in fact. Our agency Vice President, Jeff was in Amsterdam and sailed down the Rhine last week as part of the inaugural for Viking River Cruises’ 10 new longships. That’s not a typo. Viking River Cruises inaugurated 10 ships simultaneously last week. We’ll have more information on the new longships in this spot soon, so keep your eyes peeled. And in the meantime, enjoy our view of the Rhine!
Spain: As We See It
March 25, 2013 | RogerThis week, we’re doing something a little different on our blog. We’re sharing places that we’ve been in ways that we’ve seen it. Stories about travel are great, but sometimes the true spirit of a vacation is only visible in pictures.
Dispatches: Iceland
March 20, 2013 | RogerThe thing about travel is how unexpected it can be. It was 2006, and my friend and I were on a pilgrimage. Lovers of alternative music, we were going to an event. The Sugarcubes, a semi-popular rock band from the 1980’s was having a reunion, featuring its famous singer Bjork. And they were doing it in their hometown of Reykjavik, Iceland. We got a deal. Tickets to the show, roundtrip flights and hotel for a weekend for a reasonable price.
Three Reasons to Take A Guided Vacation
March 19, 2013 | RogerEurope, China, Australia, Peru. These are all great bucket list destinations with a lot to offer any traveler. In fact these destinations offer so much that its easy to get overwhelmed and lose track of all the important must-see and must-do moments on these once in a lifetime trips. Sometimes, not having someone to guide the way means missing out on a lot. So when the destination is something new, there are always good reasons to make that vacation a guided vacation by using a company that can set you up with just the right itinerary. Today, we want to share a few great reasons to jump on a tour for that next exotic destination.
A Magical Getaway
March 18, 2013 | RogerWith the Norwegian Breakaway nearing completion, Norwegian Cruise Line is starting to reveal details about the next new ship to be introduced in 2014, the Norwegian Getaway. Based in Miami, this new ship, like the Breakaway before it, will be themed around the city it sails from. And with Miami being the Magic City, the Getaway is bound to be full of magical experiences.
The Best Beach in the Caribbean
March 14, 2013 | RogerWe won’t lie, we’re big fans of Club Med. We’ve definitely talked about it before, and we had a fabulous time when we were at Sandpiper Bay in Florida. But with spring coming upon us, people in the office are getting itchy to get away from it all for a while… and the more we think about where to go, the more we’re drawn to Club Med again, this time at Turkoise – the adults only all-inclusive resort at Turks and Caicos.
It’s Deal Season!
January 10, 2013 | RogerWe don’t know exactly what it is, but once January comes around, people just like to start planning. It could be the new year, maybe its the stress of the holiday being in the rear view mirror, it might even be just people looking to escape the winter blahs. We just know that when travelers ring in the new year, they start to plan vacations for the year ahead. People in the travel industry often call the first three months of the year “wave season.” And booking during wave season can get you great deals. By no means is this an exhaustive list of the deals out there, but we’re sharing the best of the best today.
