Royal Princess: Designed with the Little Ones in Mind
The countdown to the new Royal Princess is on, and this week, Princess reveals what’s new and updated for the kids on board. After all, a great vacation for the families isn’t quite the same without great activities and events for kids to enjoy too! There’s a whole host of new features for the little ones on the Royal Princess. This time, the ship was designed with them in mind!
Let’s start with the smallest. When the Royal Princess launches in 2013, it will feature an area for toddlers to enjoy. It’s rare that kids under 3 have a place all of their own on cruiseships, as it can be tough to cater for a group of these kids at sea. But Princess is doing just that with a dedicated fun area, all their own. The rest of the kids will have their programs broken up by age – Pelicans (ages 3-7), Shockwave (ages 8-12), and Remix (ages 13-17).
New for the Royal Princess is that each of these areas will have their traditional indoor play spaces, but will also have a dedicated outdoor space for each of them as well – and each program will have newly designed spaces and different amenities than the kids may have been used to on older Princess vessels. Check out the video attached to this page to see the ins and outs of the kids program for this new ship.
Of course, the Royal Princess will have lots for adults to enjoy, including an expansion of the adults-only Sanctuary area too. It’s no surprise, after all. Princess works hard to be a cruise line that is fun for all ages.
