A Sanctuary at Sea

Taking a family vacation on a cruise is a great idea for people of all ages. Unfortunately, sometimes, people just need to get away from the kids. Dropping them off at the kids program is a start, but sometimes being away from kids, means being away from kids, not just your own. Princess pioneered an adults-only area on a family friendly ship, with the Sanctuary.

This area, unique to Princess ships, is an adults-only sanctuary where the focus is providing the relaxing serenity that a lot of folks just need while on vacation. What does this mean for the average cruiser? It means no fighting over deck chairs, Evian water atomizers, and mp3 players with noise canceling headphones available on request. It means massages on request, and the privacy and relaxing peace and quiet that a lot of folks seek when trying to get away from it all. Picture an outdoor spa atmosphere, without all the exotic and strange treatments.

It also means having good service at your beck and call. One of the hallmarks of the Sanctuary are the “Serenity Stewards.” These are relaxation assistants, there to provide whatever is necessary for that peace and tranquility so many seek. There’s a full bar, special spa and energy drinks and snacks available in the Sanctuary as well.

This special and exclusive area of the ship is due to become even larger on Princess’ new Royal Princess, about to join the fleet in 2013. 20% larger in fact with some new added features as well. Check out this great video from Princess about the enhancements to this awesome experience that guests on the Royal Princess will get to enjoy.

The Royal Princess sets sail this summer, and we’d love to see you find your serenity aboard. Take the first step and click here to see available dates and rates!
