Three Reasons to Cruise Hawaii

Hawaii is that bucket list destination that seems just out of reach for people. When there’s so much to see and do and a limited time to do it, how can someone comfortably get the best possible flavor of the state without either breaking the bank or taking weeks off at a time? There is a three word answer to that question: Pride of America. There are a few reasons why it makes sense to take a cruise in Hawaii, and here are three of the best.

1. No Passport Required

It’s really as much of a reason to go to Hawaii as it is a reason to get on board the ship, but on the Pride of America, there is no need to bring your passport. Because the ship is flagged in the United States, there is no need for it to visit a foreign port on its seven day itineraries. Because of this, no passport required. This isn’t necessarily the case for those longer itineraries that leave out of California on their way to Hawaii because the sailings stop in Mexico and aren’t US flagged.

In fact, passengers on the Pride of America are likely to have a uniquely American experience because federal law requires US flagged ships to have a primarily American crew as well.

2. See More in Less Time

Hopping from island to island can take a lot out of a traveler, plus packing and unpacking on a daily basis can suck a lot out of every single day of sight seeing. Could leave a lot less time to enjoy Maui or Hawaii or Kauai…. But with a seven day Hawaii cruise, island hopping isn’t such a big deal. Having a mobile hotel room means that packing and repacking is just not necessary, enabling people more time experiencing what makes Hawaii more special.

3. It’s Just A Lot More Fun

It’s not just the convenience of the cruise, its what happens on board that matters too. And Norwegian Cruise Line has worked hard to create a great atmosphere for guests that focuses on uniquely Hawaiian experiences with a whole lot of fun and games as this video can attest to. Cruising is fun, and this ship is definitely no exception. Plus, in 2013, Pride of America will be going under an extensive drydock and renovation, dedicated to improving the ship and making it even friendlier to guests of all ages.
