The Best Cruise Ever
The best cruise ever went up for sale today. If we could only choose one cruise to take in our life, this would be it. It’s on the Oceania Insignia in January, 2015 and it lasts 180 days! Six months on a ship seems like a long time, but with all the places that this ship is going, it doesn’t feel long enough.
The “Around the World in 180 days” adventure starts in Miami and visits 47 different UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Great Barrier Reef, the Great Wall of China and the stone town of Zanzibar. This slow global circumnavigation focuses on the Southern Hemisphere mainly with in depth visits to five continents, North and South America, Australia, Asia and Africa for a once in a lifetime adventure, all aboard a classic-build Oceania ship.
The price isn’t cheap, of course, an inside cabin starts at $39,999 per person, but there are lots of inclusions. Free soft drinks and bottled water, free shuttle services, free access to the Canyon Ranch Spa Terrace, concierge service and specialty dining is included. So are your gratuities, and onboard medical services, and luggage delivery. They’ve also thrown in unlimited laundry, internet, visa packages, transfers and a whole hose of shoreside events including a sunset dinner at a desert canyon in Namibia, lunch and an exclusive tour of the Great Wall of China and a chance to climb the ancient temples of Bagan in Myanmar.
Every port is a spot on someone’s bucket list, and it just sounds heavenly. We may be stuck in the office for those six months in 2015, but its a fair bet, we’ll be dreaming of where the Oceania Insignia will be sailing to next.
