Haven’t planned a summer vacation yet? Sometimes the best deals happen by making plans at the last minute. In fact, the next few weeks feature some of the best buys of the year for vacations! Norwegian Dashes To Savings

Our friends at Norwegian Cruise Line have a great deal starting tomorrow through Thursday May 24. Book a three night or longer sailing on any future Norwegian Cruise Line adventure and you’ll pay a reduced deposit and take advantage of some great onboard credit deals, as much as $250 per stateroom. Crown Cruise Vacations is offering lots of extras as well. Choose your own amenities, be it shipboard credit, specialty dining reservations or romance packages.  This sale includes all ships, including the brand new Norwegian Breakaway, and her sister, the Norwegian Getaway, due to sail from Miami starting this winter. The Norwegian Breakaway is an amazing ship sailing from New York, and you can view some highlights from her christening earlier this month above.

That’s some nice extra cash to spend in the spa or eating at one of the many premium dining experiences that these ships have to offer, including Geoffrey Zarkarian’s Raw Bar aboard Breakaway. The deals are for three days only, Tuesday May 21 to Thursday May 24 – so if a cruise is in the works, the best time to make plans is now!

Club Med Savings in a Flash

Fun in the sun and sea is something that we love here at the office. We dream about getting away on a daily basis… after all, selling vacations all day can do that to a guy. With the weather finally turning warmer, our mind has turned to the beach – and specifically finding the best beaches for a Caribbean vacation. We’ve found five beaches that we think are just outstanding and help make the perfect Caribbean getaway.

We won’t lie, we’re big fans of Club Med. We’ve definitely talked about it before, and we had a fabulous time when we were at Sandpiper Bay in Florida. But with spring coming upon us, people in the office are getting itchy to get away from it all for a while… and the more we think about where to go, the more we’re drawn to Club Med again, this time at Turkoise – the adults only all-inclusive resort at Turks and Caicos.

The deeper our submarine sank, the less colorful the underwater world became. That was a surprise for me aboard my first Atlantis Submarine dive.

For some reason, I thought life down deep would be like in the movies – vibrant Technicolor. Not so.

Our submarine guide Dan explains that colors begin to fade the deeper we go into the ocean. “The vibrant colors you see in photographs of the underwater world are the result of using artificial light,” Dan says.

St. Thomas has become one of the most popular cruise destinations in the Caribbean with virtually every single cruise ship stopping on this US Virgin Island at least once over the course of the sailing season. With all that traffic, one could be forgiven for thinking that every single inch of the island is explored and well-known, but we polled the office and came up with three great destinations on the island that are at least a bit off the beaten path.

Cruising the Caribbean, its hard to get excited about those private island destinations sometimes. It might just feel like another day at the beach when in reality, the ship’s pool might work just as well. But cruise lines are making these private destinations a real attraction and something worth visiting.
