We don’t know exactly what it is, but once January comes around, people just like to start planning. It could be the new year, maybe its the stress of the holiday being in the rear view mirror, it might even be just people looking to escape the winter blahs. We just know that when travelers ring in the new year, they start to plan vacations for the year ahead.  People in the travel industry often call the first three months of the year “wave season.” And booking during wave season can get you great deals. By no means is this an exhaustive list of the deals out there, but we’re sharing the best of the best today.

Celebrity

Celebrity Cruises package is the January sale we’re getting the most feedback on from our guests. The 1-2-3 Go! sale offers travelers their choice between complimentary gratuities, $300 on board credit, and the Classic Drinking Package for making a booking now through the end of January. This is a big deal – because on a longer sailing, the drinking package can be worth over $500 a person! Any sailing between now and April of next year qualifies and if the sailing is in Europe, guests get to choose two options instead of one!

Funjet Vacations

This all-inclusive package provider is offering deep discounts on many resorts across Mexico and the Caribbean, offering up to 65% off in some locations and kids stay free promotions in others. Also, book a Funjet Vacation through a travel agent between April 1 and August 31 and take advantage of an extra $150 in bonus savings.

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean is offering its guests up to $400 in on board credit for 2013 European sailings that are longer than six nights. On most other sailings that are six nights and over, the cruise line is offering up to $200 in on board credit. The higher the category you book, the more on board credit you can grab. To take advantage, guests have to book by February 15.

Trafalgar Tours

Trafalgar offers some amazing guided vacation packages across Europe in 2013, and booking early pays off. Book select European guided vacation packages and save up to $1100 with the Early Payment Discount on packages ranging from eight to 32 days. The promotion ends on February 28, and guests need to pay in full to take advantage of the savings.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian is looking to bring in new passengers by offering upgrades. On most Norwegian sailings for 2013 and beyond, guests can book an oceanview for the price of an inside cabin, a balcony for the price of an oceanview, and a mini-suite for the price of a balcony! They’re also throwing in an e-coupon book valued at approximately $300. Offer lasts through February.

Aulani by Disney

Even Disney, who rarely has a sale on its travel offerings is getting into the act these days. If you book their fabulous Hawaii resort, Aulani for travel between now and March 10, guests can stay six nights for the price of five. Time is limited though, with this offer expiring on February 15.
