Five Reasons to sail Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas

Roger

The Serenade of the Seas is back on the seas! Having completed is 29 million dollar renovation this month, the ship is back and sailing and there are a whole host of new reasons to take this classic Royal Caribbean ship out for a spin. A lot of times, people think newer and flashier is the way to go, but Royal Caribbean is taking steps to make every ship its best ship, and the Serenade is no exception. Here are five good reasons to sail on the Serenade in the next 12 months.

1. Better Dining Experiences

With an upgrade on the dining experience on the Serenade of the Seas, there is a lot to love. Coming over from the Allure of the Seas, Rita’s Cantina makes its appearance serving casual Mexican cuisine. Perfect for families during the day, and ideal for adult gatherings at night. We also love the hot rock cooking at the Izumi Asian Cuisine restaurant, and we are 110% the Chef’s Table concept.

Picture this: You, your closest friends and the ships sommelier and executive chef together at dinner for an amazing tasting menu. At $95 a person, Chef’s Table might seem a bit high, but its a wine paired meal, so the drinks are included and this is definitely dining at a whole other level.

2. The Centrum Experience

Royal Caribbean ships have these great atriums. On the Serenade, the atrium is called the Centrum. Never guys to waste space, Royal Caribbean finally found a great use of space with Cirque du Soleil like performances in the center of the ship throughout a cruise. Other classic Royal Caribbean ships have this experience too, like the Grandeur of the Seas. Check out the video above to see exactly what these performances will be like.

3. The R Bar

OK, we admit it, with a name like the R bar, one could very easily expect a pirate bar. While that could be cool… or not, Royal Caribbean’s R bar is probably a better idea. Royal Caribbean thinks it to be a throwback to the Rat Pack. Think Mad Men early 60’s with classic cocktails made by hand. Great drinks, live entertainment, wonderful mixologists.

4. A Sweeter Suite Life

Lucky enough to get into a suite? Perfect, the Serenade of the Seas has not only refreshed the suite, but now offers the highest category guests their very own Concierge Club. Think of it as a living space for the upper crust of the ship with continental breakfast, personalized stationery, Hors D’Oeuvres and an honor bar for guests plus their very own concierge to help them with matters on and off shore.

5. The Value!

Every ship is Royal Caribbean’s best ship, but people still pay premiums to be on the new ship. This makes wonderful classic vessels like the Serenade of the Seas a great deal too! Above all, the new bells and whistles bring the ship a better value more than a higher price tag.

The Serenade of the Seas will be making its way all over the world in 2013. For a list of options and to check out the great values, just click here!
