Just announced today, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, one of the premier luxury cruise lines will be introducing its first new ship in a decade in 2016! This is pretty exciting news for the three ship fleet that has ushered in the age of the all-inclusive luxury cruise.

Joining the Seven Seas Mariner, the Seven Seas Voyager and the Seven Seas Navigator, the Seven Seas Explorer will be Regent’s largest ship ever at 54,000 tons. As large as that may seem, it still pales in comparison to the megaship fleets out there. In comparison, Norwegian Breakaway, one of the newest cruise ships introduced this summer, is three times the size.

Details are still pretty sketchy – after all with the ship three years from launch that’s to be expected – but it sounds phenomenal. Canyon Ranch SpaClub on board, as is standard with Regent ships, a two story theater, a nine story atrium and six premium dining restaurants aboard. And unlike other cruise lines, the premium dining restaurants on Regent are included in the cost of your cruise.
