Jamaica’s Newest Destination Sensation

Cruising into Jamaica has always been a bit of a challenge. Getting into Ocho Rios gives guests a great opportunity to visit Dunns River Falls, and Montego Bay has amazing beaches and a lot of fun places to visit. But until recently, guests have often had to choose doing one or the other. Now, though, Royal Caribbean has opened its new port – Falmouth, Jamaica – located between the two traditional port cities and offering a great option to experience more of the best that Jamaica has to offer.

Falmouth definitely has its own charms and its own history, having been around for nearly 400 years – but until now, it hasn’t been easy for cruisers to experience and explore. However, now its possible and its almost necessary. Explore the historic district, just outside the cruise port area, and take a ride down the Martha Brae River in a 30 foot Bamboo raft.

Of course, Dunns River Falls is just an hour away, as is Montego Bay and the Beaches of Negril a bit further afield. There’s so much to see and do there, rather than describe it, we suggest taking a look at the video above.
