“With the new 2026 World Cruise aboard Costa Serena, we are further expanding our offer with a one-of-a-kind itinerary. By departing from Japan instead of Europe, we greatly enrich the journey between East and South America via Oceania,” Luigi Stefanelli, vice president worldwide sales of Costa Cruises, said in a press release.

“For winter 2026/2027, we are also introducing innovation on the most iconic cruises such as the World Cruise. With Serena, we complement our offer by embarking from Tokyo and disembarking in Buenos Aires with different stopovers,” he said.

                                        Journey Begins in Far East

The journey begins in the wonders of the Far East, where guests can explore Tokyo with tours of its iconic neighborhoods, take in views from Tokyo Tower and experience traditional markets.

In Keelung, Taiwan, guests can discover the change of Taipei that spans between modernity and tradition, while in Hong Kong, China, the vibrant atmosphere of the city comes to life with a panoramic tour of skyscrapers and temples.

In Australia, Sydney features the spectacular Grand Pacific Drive and the famous Taronga Zoo, while Brisbane and Cairns promise authentic experiences with local wildlife, such as a visit to Hartley’s Crocodile Farm.

The circular journey concludes in South America among the spectacular landscape of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. In San Antonio, Chile, guests can tour Santiago’s landmarks or follow in the footsteps of Pable Neruda.
