Curious about what the new MSC World America ship will look like and will offer? For an insider’s view, tune into the 3rd Hour of TODAY on Wednesday, April 9. The TV show will air live from the ship’s deck at 9 a.m. ET.

“MSC World America’s arrival in Miami will be a big moment for us, and an even bigger moment for our guests and travel advisors,” Lynn Torrent, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, MSC Cruises USA, said in a press release.

“We know travelers are clamoring for a look at the finished ship and all the amazing features awaiting them onboard,” Torrent said. “There’s no one better to provide a sneak peek than the hosts of the 3rd Hour of TODAY.”

The TODAY co-hosts will tour Miami’s newest ship ahead of its maiden voyage. The broadcast will spotlight the ship’s newest dining and entertainment venues along with its world-class amenities including the MSC Yacht Club luxury ship-within-a-ship, an all-new outdoor venue for families, the three-level World Galleria and more.

“We can’t wait for them to experience the ship’s blend of European style and American comfort, and hope everyone tunes in on April 9,” Torrent said.

MSC World America’s naming ceremony will be held on the evening of Wednesday, April 9, at the new MSC Miami Cruise Terminal, which will be the largest in the world.

As ship godmother, Drew Barrymore will be cutting the ribbon and triggering the traditional breaking of a bottle of champagne on the ship’s bow alongside Orlando Bloom, who co-stars with her in the company’s “Let’s Holiday” campaign.

After the ceremony, MSC World America will depart on a celebratory three-night sailing to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve —MSC Cruises’ breathtaking private island in The Bahamas.

While docked at Ocean Cay, the MSC Foundation will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Marine Conservation Center. The facility will serve as a hub for scientists and students involved in the Foundation’s Super Coral Program, as well as a place where guests can learn more about the program’s mission to restore coral reefs that have been impacted by climate change.
