As godmother of the Victory II, Molly Grace Applegate practiced smashing liquor bottles in the backyard of her San Diego home and giving speeches to her dog Lamb Chop who fell asleep halfway through her speech.

On the third anniversary of its inception, Margaritaville at Sea has announced the purchase of its third ship, the Costa Fortuna, currently operated by Costa Cruises.

Viking’s newest Nile River ship has moved one step closer to completion. The 82-guest Viking Thoth has been “floated out,” marking a major construction milestone. It is the first time the ship has touched water.

It’s official. The Victory I cruise ship has been christened in Toronto. The ceremony marks a triumphant return of Victory Cruise Lines, led by founder and CEO John Waggoner.

Standing on shore, spectators looked as though they doubted whether the beautiful American Melody could dock in such a tiny place.  Mississippi River was low. Rocks lined the water’s edge. No dock built here.
